In recent days, Iran’s state-run media, officials, and even western media outlets and experts have been warning about Iran’s catastrophic water crisis. Meanwhile, the Iranian regime has not taken any action.
“Water shortage crisis, hot weather, and Coronavirus have put Iran’s southern provinces in critical conditions,” wrote the state-run Arman daily on Monday, June 7, 2021.
“This crisis becomes more serious when, according to the statistics of Water and Wastewater Engineering Company, 210 cities face difficulties to access water…
The “Free Iran World Summit 2021” organizing committee has announced the dates for its latest rally of Iranian expatriates and political dignitaries. The event is scheduled to begin on Saturday, July 10, and conclude Monday, July 12.
This report highlights the difference between the 2021 election and all prior 12 presidential elections in Iran.
While every election since 1979 has been rigged, they have served to give an appearance of democracy and republicanism to the ruling theocracy. The 2021 election is, however, vastly different, because Iran in 2021 is on the threshold of a fundamental transformation.
This election marks an end to the games and masquerades. It is now evident that the true fight is between the people and the organized opposition seeking freedom and democracy on the one side, and the entirety of the regime headed…
Iranians abroad and inside Iran held a Tweet-A-Thon on Sunday, 30 May 2021, started at 1730 Central European Summer Time(CEST). Thousands of tweets have been posted, calling for boycotting the Iranian regime’s sham presidential election.
These calls are in line with the growing call by Iranians from all walks of life with the widespread campaign by the Iranian opposition, People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran’s Resistance Units( PMOI/MEK Resistance Units) being in its forefront. Hundreds of video clips of Resistance Units’ activities were posted in this campaign.
Iran’s Guardian Council announced this week that many candidates for next month’s presidential election have been disqualified, which the Iranian Resistance says shows that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei needs to consolidate power to increase pressure on dissidents and prevent uprisings.
This purge of dozens of candidates further demonstrates that elections in Iran are nothing like the democratic process that they claim to be, which is just one of the reasons that the Iranian Resistance is encouraging the public to boycott the elections.
The Iranian interior ministry announced Tuesday, 25 May 2021, the presidential candidates that were approved to run for next month’s elections by the Guardian Council.
As predicted, the 12-member council which is appointed directly and indirectly by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei purged over 130 candidates so that the only seven left are the most loyal officials.
Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said in a statement: “Khamenei took steps to consolidate the regime and maximize repression by purging presidential candidates who had participated in all of the regime’s crimes over the past 40…
On 25 May 2021, Khamenei’s Guardian Council eliminated some of the highest figures who have been part and parcel of crimes committed in the last 40 years within the regime in effort to consolidate the regime and maximize repression.
Such a purge amongst some of the most trusted figures within the regime is a clear sign of the regime’s crisis in its final phase and fearing its final collapse in the near future.
Ali Ardeshir Larijani entered the race for the upcoming sham Presidential election on May 15, 2021 by registering his candidacy.
Larijani belongs to the Princip list faction, aligned with the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. He was born in Najaf, Iraq in 1957 to a senior Iranian ayatollah but returned to Iran in 1961.
Larijani was previously appointed as the head of the board involved in drafting and signing the very unpopular 25-year strategic pact with China by Khamenei.
Larijani was an IRGC Brig. Gen. and played a major role in the eight-year Iran-Iraq war. …
